Karoline Leavitt issues stern statement after Trump drops another ‘grotesque’ lip comment

Donald Trump has made more comments about Karoline Leavitt’s appearance at a Pennsylvania rally, bizarrely praising her ‘beautiful face’ and lips that move ‘like a machine gun’

Karoline Leavitt has spoken out on social media after being gushed over by the president at his rally in Pennsylvania.

President Donald Trump, 79, conducted a campaign-style gathering in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, where he bragged to his followers about U.S. economic expansion, despite the rising cost-of-living crisis, and made several strange remarks about his 28-year-old press secretary.

During the event, Trump went off-script to gush over Karoline, who was present in the crowd. “Isn’t she great? Is Karoline great? You know, when she goes on television, Fox, like, I mean, they dominate. They dominate when she gets up there with that beautiful face and those lips that don’t stop, up, up, up, like, like a little machine gun, she’s got no fear,” he raved.

Karoline, who is married to Nicholas Riccio, 60, subsequently used her Instagram Story to apparently dismiss her boss’ odd comments. From her seat in the audience, she shared a video of President Trump delivering his speech on stage.

She released a 13-word message, stating, “Incredible energy tonight in Pennsylvania! Feels good to be out with the PEOPLE!” accompanied by a red love heart emoji, apparently disregarding what Trump had expressed about her just moments earlier, reports the Mirror US.

Despite Karoline’s attempt to avoid addressing the peculiar comments, online users certainly found Trump’s statements repulsive. Posting on X, one individual raged, “Trump is a disgusting fool.”

As another individual noted, “You don’t have to tell me about it. I heard Trump talk about Kaoline’s lips this evening, and he did everything but blow kisses to her, and she’s in the audience no less!”

A third user criticized, “Trump reducing a woman to her looks and the sound of her lips is grotesque, juvenile, and horrifyingly predictable,” a sentiment echoed by others.

One user remembered, “It’s not even the first time; he dropped a near-identical line back in August on Newsmax, calling her a “star” for the face-brain-lips combo that “moves like a machine gun. By October, he was at it again on Air Force One, vowing she’d “never” get replaced over that same fixation.”

Indeed, this isn’t the first instance of the president lavishing praise on his young employee’s appearance. He was previously criticized for making “creepy” comments about her during an interview that aired in August.

The remarks were made when Trump was asked about her performance in the White House during a Newsmax interview. He referred to her as “a star” and began enumerating his favorite attributes of Karoline, who holds the record as the youngest person to occupy her position in U.S. history.

“She’s become a star. It’s that face. It’s that brain. It’s those lips. The way they move. They move like she’s a machine gun,” he enthused. In the same interview, Trump also seemed to describe certain conflicts as “very beautiful” in what appeared to be a verbal misstep.

“You take a look at what’s happened just over the last little while, we’ve settled a lot of… A lot of very beautiful wars have been settled,” Trump shared with interviewer Rob Finnerty. “You know, one of the wars: India-Pakistan, nuclear.”
