Karoline Leavitt dubbed a ‘clown’ as she gets mocked for Trump rant after ‘PTSD’ claim

Karoline Leavitt made an appearance on Fox News to discuss some of her boss, President Donald Trump’,s latest plans and hopes, but she didn’t get a great reception from viewers

When it comes to having President Donald Trump as your boss, you’re bound to get a little grief, and Karoline Leavitt is no stranger to such happenings.

And the latest barrage of criticism came after the 28-year-old press secretary dropped in for an interview on Fox News to discuss President Trump’s plans to end the war in Ukraine after he proposed a 28-point plan.

Speaking on the network on November 24, the mother-of-one, who recently admitted to having ‘PTSD’ due to her job, declared, “You know, President Trump stopped the funding of this war, but the United States is still sending or selling a big amount of weapons to NATO.”

She continued, “We cannot do that forever, and the President wants this war to end,” before calling the 79-year-old, who, for the last two months, has been ordering US forces to assemble outside Venezuela and carry out a series of lethal strikes on civilian boats, in the name of fighting “narco-terrorists, “a peacetime president.”

“That’s what he’s pursuing. And today he remains optimistic and hopeful, and I know our teams are working around the clock to try to get this deal to an end,” Karoline concluded.

Despite her somewhat positive outlook on the situation, the same couldn’t be said for how Fox News viewers took Karoline’s declaration. A clip of the segment was shared to X, formerly Twitter, where trolls were quick to dish their thoughts.

One seemingly confused user penned, “I repeat, a peacetime president, which is why we’re about to invade Venezuela,” as another echoed this sentiment by joking, “FOX News: Karoline, hate to cut you off, but I’m being told the US military just nuked Venezuela. Leavitt: …peacetime President.”

“A peacetime president who’s spending billions rebranding the DOD to Dept of War and blowing up fishing boats without congressional approval and threatening the sovereignty of allies,” chimed in someone else.

Other viewers left a slew of clown face emojis with a fourth user quoting Karoline’s new nickname for the commander in chief, saying, “peacetime president,” also followed by a handful of the clown face emojis.

“That’s why he’s blowing up random fishermen in international and foreign waters? Because peacetime? That’s why he labeled a foreign government a terrorist organization? You’re really digging into this ‘dumbest timeline’ run, it’s horrible for the country, just stop,” someone else fumed.

Karoline’s Fox News appearance came just days after she seemed to joke about suffering from “PTSD” from her job as Press Secretary for President Trump.

Karoline told The Daily Mail about struggling to keep plans with her 60-year-old husband, Nicholas Riccio, as she is often forced to cancel due to her busy work schedule.

Karoline, who is the youngest White House Press Secretary in history, working closely alongside President Trump as his official spokesperson, explained, “We just roll with it. If there’s a night where I happen to become free, then we take full advantage of that as a family.”

“Honestly, I have PTSD about making plans, so I just don’t,” the political spokesperson went on to confess to the publication, before sharing some words of wisdom with the reporter interviewing her: Don’t make plans after work, according to Karoline, as it’s a “rookie move.”

Karoline then clarified her point, saying, “It’s very difficult to make plans in this job. My husband and I had three different mini weekend getaway vacations this summer. All three got canceled due to foreign policy events.”

One time Karoline’s job got in the way of her personal life was when she had a trip planned to her hometown of New Hampshire over the summer, but a last-minute engagement cropped up on Trump’s schedule.

“But that’s part of the job, and it’s what makes it fun and challenging and keeps every day new. And it’s, you know, it’s temporary. We’re one year down. We got three to go.”
